Learning To Pixel Art: Willard Devlog
Willard » Devlog
Developing a solo project as a non-artist has its challenges! In this devlog I show how stylistic choices, a lot of learning, and viewer feedback have helped me to create some beautiful assets despite my significant struggles with drawing.
This is not a how-to video, but rather a chronicle of my journey, as well as a discussion of some of the important lessons I’m learning along the way.
For those already following the development story of Willard, this video will show how I’m developing the visual style of the project, and give some glimpses into how that style is informing the puzzle platforming aspect of the game.
Willard
2D puzzle-platformer with RPG and tower defense elements.
